About role:
We are looking for a Robotics Engineer to join the team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing autonomous systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and contribute to the cutting-edge drone squad technology.
The company is developing AI capabilities to add autonomy to single UAVs, such as the ability to identify an enemy UAV, track and engage, autonomously. You will have the unique opportunity to shape AI capabilities in one of the most challenging environments: fast changing, resource constrained, secure, and with high generalization capabilities.
Requirements:
– 2+ years experience with autonomous systems, particularly in UAV applications.
– 2+ years experience in designing and implementing autonomous control systems for UAVs using ROS and simulation environments (e.g. Gazebo).
– Hold M.Sc. in automation and control, machine learning, robotics, or related field.
– Design and implement autonomous control systems for UAVs.
– Experience with computer vision frameworks (OpenCV, YOLO, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
– Have experience integrating a companion computer (e.g. Raspberry Pi 5 + AI or Nvidia Jetson) to a UAV using Pixhawk.
– Integrate sensors and actuators for improved drone perception and navigation.
– Knowledge of control systems, computer vision, and machine learning.
– Conduct testing and validation of robotic systems in various environments.
Nice to have:
– Experience with SLAM, computer vision applied to UAVs.
– Knowledge of AI safety principles and practices.
– Knowledge of control systems, computer vision, and machine learning.
– Familiarity with hardware integration for UAVs.
The client offers:
– Opportunity to work on a cutting-edge localization platform with AI-driven innovation.
– A collaborative, dynamic team environment with a culture of learning and growth.
– Competitive salary and flexible work arrangements.
