About role:
We are looking for a talented Senior Data Scientist/AI Engineer to join the pioneering project.
Requirements:
– Proven experience (5+ years) in NLP, including hands-on work with text generation/processing, translations, NER, summarization, and classification.
– Strong experience in Azure services, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, Data Lake, and Azure Functions.
– Expertise in deploying and scaling AI models on Azure.
– Familiarity with LLMs (large language models) and how to effectively fine-tune and integrate them into practical applications.
– Familiarity with LLM frameworks like Hugging Face for model training and deployment.
Nice to have:
– Experience working with translation platforms and understanding of language pairs, translation memory, and localization processes.
– Experience with COMET or similar translation quality metrics.
– Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
– Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
– Lead the development of NLP models focused on document translation, text extraction, summarization, named entity recognition (NER), and text classification to power the localization platform.
– Design and implement AI/ML solutions using Azure AI and infrastructure services, ensuring efficient deployment, scaling, and monitoring of machine learning pipelines.
– Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize translation quality, employing adaptive techniques that integrate feedback loops and AI-driven corrections.
– Develop automated systems for translation memory integration, ensuring consistency across large-scale multilingual projects.
– Implement AI-powered quality assessment metrics (e.g., COMET) and fine-tune models for enhanced translation accuracy and fluency.
– Maintain a robust Azure cloud environment, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost-effective solutions for the NLP engine.
– Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and translators to integrate AI solutions into the production environment.
– Stay current with the latest research in NLP, large language models, and cloud technologies to drive innovation and enhance platform capabilities.
