About the role:

We are looking for a Data Scientist with experience in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) to join the team. In this role, you will leverage and continuously improve the working MMM pipeline to deliver marketing measurement insights for the clients in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

Required skills:

– 2+ years of experience as Data Scientist;
– Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Marketing Mix Modeling and has independently led complete MMM projects from data preprocessing to model deployment.
– Experience mentoring or reviewing code from junior data scientists.
– Experience with Bayesian modeling approaches (good to have).
– Understanding of marketing effectiveness metrics (ROI, ROAS) and model validation techniques specific to MMM.
– Familiarity with marketing channel attribution concepts.
– Strong Python programming skills
– Experience with probabilistic programming (PyMC, NumPyro, or similar), cloud platforms (preferably GCP), Databricks or similar data processing platforms, CI/CD pipelines.
– Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows, follows Git best practices for team collaboration.

Soft skills:

– Experience working with international teams across time zones.
– Strong communication skills in English.
– Experience in client-facing roles, project management and documenting technical work for different audiences.

Would be a plus:

– Experience in the CPG industry.
– Experience with Numpyro specifically.
– Previous experience with CPG brands.
– Contributions to open-source projects.
– Experience with ML model deployment in production.
– Academic background in statistics, econometrics, STEM, or related field.

Responsibilities:

– Utilize the existing MMM pipeline to deliver actionable marketing measurement insights.
– Continuously optimize and enhance the pipeline to improve performance and accuracy.
– Work across all marketing channels (e.g., TV, digital, social media, print) to ensure comprehensive analysis and insights.
– Develop automated processes and build custom models to streamline the workflow, increasing efficiency and accuracy in MMM projects.
– Collaborate closely with the internal data science team, the client’s analytics team, and product teams to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
– Participate in client-facing discussions and presentations, supported by senior team members, to provide insights and answer technical questions.
